"I want to thank
all of you for such a great ride. The SWAT Play was one of
the most successful shows that I have experienced. You see,
initially I thought that I was coming to “watch” a
performance and that I would leave and go about my merry
little life. But I have to tell you as I was sitting among
the audience; I felt that I was in the bar, that I was
behind the bars, and that I was beating up Mr. Alfred. This
show brought back so much and I saw myself in each character
at different stages in the play. I could relate to the
roles played by Chris, Pishoy, John, Mina, Mina, Caroline,
Jacky, Olivia, Rugde, Alfred and Sarah (sorry Hardee…I can’t
feel your character).
"I am not writing to give you a pep talk and tell you how great you are. You already received the half-time pep talk on Sunday during intermission. I am not sending this email to remind you that this is a service for God and that you have to understand that it is about the message not about the technical performance. I think you are all well aware of that and are spiritually mature enough to understand that point. I am not even writing to ask you to consider doing something like this again, because I know you realize what an honor it is to serve God and to be chosen to serve Him.
"I AM writing to
thank you for leaving your imprint on my heart, for
reminding me from where I have been brought and for
INSISTING that we the audience understand that God can and
will use a person that has been lost in sin, swimming in the
filth of this world, to be His chosen vessel. We forget,
even when we read the scriptures, even when we have been
there ourselves, that God will use those who are willing,
and those who have been touched by the love of others.
"It is not often
that I am given a chance to be preached to by those whom I
am supposed to Shepard, and be reminded that it is by the
grace of God, that I am what I am. Thank you for touching
me and reminding me of much of what I had forgotten. Thank
you for reminding me about my own “Mr. Alfred” in my life,
who came to me in my time of need.
"You are amazing,
in that you have been used by the Almighty! I thank my God
upon every remembrance of you and pray that the seeds that
you have scattered, another would water, and that Christ
would continue to increase His Kingdom daily. God bless all
your efforts and bring the increase in His time! You are
all in my heart."
Humbly yours,
May 23, 2007 abouna michael Hi: This is George Mousa,
most of you might recognize my name. Through the past 15 years I had the
honor to compose, arrange, and record the music for most of the plays,
and choir CDs for the metropolitan area churches. Unfortunately, I was
never able to invite my wife, and kids to enjoy watching all the
previous Arabic plays, because they don't understand the Arabic
language. On April 13, 2007 my family and I drove to Queens, NY to enjoy
the play Christian SWAT, which was all in English. The play was very
well done in every way, and it was very effective in proving its points.
This play touched us, and our kids as well. I would like to extend my
thanks to the writer, directors, actors, and the whole team for
delivering such an amazing piece of work which was desperately needed by
the young generation. May God bless you all, and we are all waiting for
the next one (IN ENGLISH). "My name is Fady
Mobader; I am the director of the play. A year and a half ago, when I
was approached about working on Christian SWAT, I refused. I was a DJ at
a night club, and I couldn’t work on a play that taught the exact
opposite. A member of the SWAT said, “Just try.” Three months later I
realized that I had to leave the night club even though I needed the
money badly. |
| "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of the sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not whither; and whatever he does shall prosper" (Psalm1:1-3). |
